Durham Region Real Estate Market Report For April 2020

This is not the flourishing spring market that many had hoped for. From its onset, the COVID-19 pandemic has halted what is usually a buzzing time for the Durham Region real estate market. While people are still moving, the listing and sales activity overall has slowed dramatically in comparison to previous years. While new listings are down, those that have chosen to put their home on the market have often seen a slight increase in year-over-year pricing. On average, pricing in Durham Region has experienced a small 0.06% lift in comparison to April 2019. It’s also important to note that due to the lack of availability, homes are moving on average 3 days quicker than this time last year.
