Transactions Are On A Downward Trend From Month-to-Month
We’re trending towards a less competitive marketing this fall with transactions in November 2018 on a downward trend from last month. Stats show that the number of real estate transactions is down 8.5% in comparison to October 2018.
Year-Over-Year Comparison
While the number of transactions is down 16.9 percent in a year-over-year comparison, the average selling price is up. 2.7% to be exact. The average selling price of a home in the Durham Region throughout November 2018 was $590,403
Best Bang For Your Buck In Durham
Oshawa, Brock and Clarington continue to be the most fairly priced districts in the marketing. Average pricing in these three rang in at just under $550,00 so if you are on the hunt, this might be your best place to start. Where is the most expensive? Uxbridge and Pickering continue to be the most pricey on the market with an average selling price of over $700,000.
